Турнир организован Союзом интеллектуальной элиты «Заман біздікі» к 125-летию К. Жубанова. В американском парламентском и «Линкольн-Дуглас» форматах приняли участие 34 фракции и 68 спикеров со всей республики. Участники дебатов приехали из Алматы, Атырау, Актау, Костаная и Хромтау. Проректор по социально-воспитательной работе Еркин Тастанкулов выразил благодарность молодым людям из разных регионов страны, которые вносят свой вклад в развитие республиканского турнира. В городе Актау прошел командный чемпионат Республики Казахстан среди мужчин и женщин по тогызкумалаку. В чемпионате приняли участие около 180 спортсменов. По итогам соревнований мужская сборная Актюбинской области заняла первое место в классическом зачете. В составе команды победителями стали преподаватель кафедры «Теория и методика физического воспитания» университета Жубанова Азамат Кайдаров, студенты 2 курса специальности «Физическое воспитание и спорт»: Алмас Тлегенов и Диас Жанбау.
