Anniversary of the great commander
A set of events dedicated to the 355th anniversary of Yeset Batyr Kokiuly started in the region.

“This wonderful day will remain in our memory for a long time.” The 355th anniversary of the great Kazakh hero is a special date in our history. The place where his monument stands is one of the promising residential areas of Aktobe with a large population. Meetings dedicated to the famous ancestor continued in the conference hall of the ARU named after K. Zhubanov. Bakytkhan Zhanshaeva’s book “Elin korgagan er Eset” was also presented there.
– When the public foundation named after Yeset Batyr Kokiuly invited me to write a book, I started looking for sources, but didn’t find anything important. His last work was a collection of essays published on his 350th anniversary. Therefore, we, together with his descendants, scientists and historians, must study history and perpetuate his memory,” the author believes.
With reports at the republican scientific and practical conference “The historical role of Eset Kokiuly in Kazakh-Dzungar relations in the XVIII-XVIII centuries.” Professor Nagbdu Kamarova (Aktau), Doctor of Historical Sciences Bekmurat Naimanbaev (Shymkent), Professor and Associate Professor of the ARU named after K. Zhubanov Gulbanu Izbasarova and Asylbek Maden spoke.
The celebrations will continue on Saturday and Sunday. Today, October 8, a large-scale celebration of the anniversary will be held in the village of Bestamak, Alginsky district. The republican aitys of akyns will take place in Aktobe.
