Meeting on the prevention of gambling addiction held
Today, Zhubanov University hosted a meeting with students focused on the prevention of gambling addiction and illegal gambling activities.
The event featured presentations by key specialists, including Police Captain Ayan Kurmangazin, an operative from the Criminal Police Department of the Aktobe Region Police Department; Police Major Kazbek Adaybayev, Head of the Local Police Service Department of Police Station No. 1 in the Astana District; Malika Yeshniyazova, a practicing psychologist from the "Premier Med Malika" clinic; and Aydyn Zhanasayev, a leading specialist from the "Qadam" Rehabilitation Center.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the negative consequences of gambling addiction, ways to prevent online fraud, and the importance of enhancing legal awareness among youth. The students were provided with detailed information about the dangers of gambling addiction, its financial and social impacts, and the significance of leading a healthy lifestyle.
Police Captain Ayan Kurmangazin highlighted methods to protect oneself from online fraud, the legal consequences of gambling addiction, and its detrimental effects on personal life. Additionally, the specialists urged young people to remain attentive to themselves and their loved ones, seek help at the first signs of addiction, and not hesitate to speak openly about their problems.
During the event, students asked questions of interest to the experts and received consultations on the topic.
