From Theory to Practice: Landscape Design Students Develop an Alternative Concept for the Square Behind "Konys" Sports Complex

Students of the "6B05203-Landscape Design" program at K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, specializing in landscape design, are gaining a unique opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Under the guidance of experienced landscape designer Vadim Markevich, they not only study the fundamentals of urban space, park, and green area planning but also master modern computer programs for creating professional projects.

During their training, students acquire essential skills for developing functional, aesthetically appealing, and sustainable urban and natural landscapes. They applied this knowledge in designing an alternative concept for the square behind the "Konys" Sports Complex, proposing innovative solutions to enhance the area's appearance and improve comfort and convenience for city residents.

The project provided an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. They took into account the area's environmental, social, and cultural characteristics, creating designs that meet the needs of both local residents and city authorities. By utilizing modern software tools, students were able to refine every detail of the proposed design and present it in 3D visualizations, making the projects more realistic and accessible for potential stakeholders.

This practical experience has greatly enriched the educational process, allowing students not only to deepen their knowledge but also to gain confidence as future specialists in landscape design.
