Unified National Testing (ENT)
The Unified National Testing (ENT) is a form of entrance examination for admission to higher and/or postgraduate education institutions.
ENT is conducted for:
- Students of graduating 11th (12th) grades of secondary education institutions for admission to universities on a paid basis at their discretion;
- Graduates of secondary education institutions in the current year, participating in the competition for the award of an educational grant funded by the republican or local budget, or for admission to universities on a paid basis at their discretion;
- Graduates of secondary education institutions from previous years, as well as technical and vocational education graduates, participating in the competition for the award of an educational grant funded by the republican or local budget, or for admission to universities on a paid basis at their discretion;
- Graduates of technical, vocational, or post-secondary education, applying for higher education programs with shortened training periods, participating in the competition for the award of an educational grant funded by the republican or local budget at their discretion;
- Graduates of secondary education institutions who studied through international student exchange programs abroad, as well as persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of Kazakhstan, and have graduated from foreign educational institutions, participating in the competition for the award of an educational grant funded by the republican or local budget, or for admission to universities on a paid basis at their discretion;
- Individuals enrolled in universities for full-time paid education who did not meet the threshold score in the ENT or who have results with incorrect subject combinations or invalidated ENT results, seeking further admission to universities on a paid basis within the calendar year;
- University students in educational programs requiring creative preparation, wishing to transfer to other educational programs.

Changes to ENT regulations:
Currently, amendments are being made to the regulations regarding the dates of the ENT.
Cost of testing: 4230 KZT
Payment for participation in the Unified National Testing is made during the submission of the online application via bank card or through the Kaspi.kz app.
ENT Format:
- 5 subjects (3 mandatory + 2 specialized)
- Total number of test questions: 120
- Total testing time: 4 hours (240 minutes)
- An appeal process is available.
Maximum score: 140
Passing score:
- For national higher education institutions (OVPO) - at least 65 points.
- For "Pedagogical Sciences" and "Law" fields of education - at least 75 points.
- For "Agriculture and Bioresources" and "Veterinary Science" - at least 60 points.
- For other OVPO programs - at least 50 points.
- For "Pedagogical Sciences" - at least 75 points.
- For "Health and Social Welfare (Medicine)" - at least 70 points.
Each OVPO also sets its own passing score for educational program groups.
Specialized subjects are selected in accordance with the chosen group of educational programs within the OVPO.
