The department has educational and research laboratories equipped with modern installations and tools. The topics of the theses are aimed at solving theoretical and fundamental problems of modern chemical science, the objects of research are inorganic and organic compounds, as well as composites. Each laboratory is equipped with training stands that meet the modern requirements of training in specialized subjects. The department has 7 educational and research classrooms, of which three are specialized and equipped with modern installations.

In addition to scientific and pedagogical work, practical work is carried out at the department in order to consolidate the theory.
The department collaborates with leading industrial enterprises in the region and the Western area, including LLP "Aktobe Chrome Compounds Plant," LLP "Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant," LLP "Aktobe Copper Company," LLP "Zhanazhol Oil and Gas Processing Complex," LLP "TETS," LLP "Nitrohim," and "Aktobe Non-Metallic Pipe Plant." Connections have been established with LLP "Aktobe Oil Refinery," LLP "Sagiz-Petroleum," and "Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V." for the purpose of organizing student internships.

Additionally, for internships for students in specialties 6B01504 - Chemistry and 6B01514 - Chemistry IR, all schools in the Aktobe region and the city of Aktobe are considered as potential internship bases.
