The main areas of the center are:
monitoring the religiosity of university students;
research the problems of history and the theory of religions;
study of the history of mosques and religious figures of the Aktobe region;
study of problems of secondary and higher education;
scientific and educational activity on the problems of spiritual values in accordance with the article of President N.Nazarbayev "A look into the future: modernization of public consciousness".
From 2013 to 2015 the Center conducted research with the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic: "Religious denominations and religious situation in Kazakhstan (XIX-XXI centuries)".
From September 2016 to September 2017, the Center conducted a scientific project on the theme "History of Kazakh mosques and religious figures" (based on materials from the Aktobe region).
In 2015, the Center held a republican conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the topic "Religious, Spiritual Consent and Education of Youth" with the participation of scientists from the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2016, a republican scientific conference was held in conjunction with the Aktobe Regional Museum "Rukhaniyat" "Religious figure Doszhan kazhi and religious figures, religious buildings of Western Kazakhstan".
In 2016, a regional conference was held on the theme "The history of Kazakh mosques and religious figures (on the materials of Aktobe region at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century)".
In the 2013-2014 academic year, the Center conducted a study on the topic "Professional orientation of school graduates to pedagogical activity".
In the 2014-2015 academic year, studies were conducted on the topic "The attitude of students towards religion". The research materials are published in a number of scientific journals.
In the 2014-2015 academic year, studies were conducted on the theme: "The social well-being of school teachers" (based on the materials of Aktobe region).
Research materials are published in regional newspapers and republican magazines.
In 2017-2018 academic year the Center participates in the Republican competition for grant financing on the topic "Mosques and religious figures of the XIX-early XX century. (on materials of Aktobe region)".
In view of the manifestations of religious extremism in the public consciousness of young people in the region, the Center conducts a sociological study on the topic: "Religious orientation of students".
For the period from 2012 to 2017 published more than 30 articles in scientific journals and periodicals.
Employees of the Center take part in many international and republican scientific and theoretical conferences.
Professor A. Aitaly prepared and published a "Дін және діндарлық" (Religion and religiosity) (Almaty, 2017), on the basis of which the special course at the pedagogical faculty is read.
