Applications for the Go Global Program Are Now Open

The Department of Strategic and International Development is pleased to announce the start of applications for the Go Global academic mobility program for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Host University: Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia Campus

Applications are accepted for the following study programs:

  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering – 2nd and 3rd year
  • Petroleum with Transition Engineering – 2nd year
  • Computational Sciences and Software Engineering – 2nd year
     

Requirements for candidates:

  • Academic performance with a GPA of at least 2.80 (minimum grade D is accepted; no resits from the previous academic year)
  • Compliance with academic discipline and ethical standards in the past
  • Psychological readiness to study in a different educational environment
  • Active participation in the university’s scientific and social life
     

List of Required Documents:

  1. Resume
  2. Copy of passport (if a passport is not available, a valid ID card will be accepted)
  3. Application addressed to the Chairman of the Board – Rector
  4. Motivation Letter (should include the reasons for participating in the academic mobility program, objectives, expected outcomes, future plans, and other relevant information for the Commission members. Length – maximum 2 pages. Format: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced.)
  5. Recommendation Letter (provided by the program supervisor or a lecturer who knows the student well; should describe the student’s suitability for the program and provide information allowing the Commission to assess the candidacy of a student comprehensively. Length –  maximum 2 pages. Format: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced.)
  6. Transcript (at Temirқazyq, Main Building, 1st floor)
  7. Copies of diplomas, certificates, and awards for participation in international, national, or program-specific activities (if available)
  8. Copy of document confirming the student comes from a large family (if applicable)
  9. Copy of document confirming the absence of parents (for orphans or students without parental care, if applicable)
  10. If the candidate is under 18 at the time of submission, a notarized consent (power of attorney) from the parents or legal guardian for studying abroad is required
  11. Folder with documents – 1
     

Application Deadline: December 17, 17:00
 

Documents should be submitted to the Deputy Project Leader of the Heriot-Watt Campus.
