Law and Order: Zhubanov University Students Improve Their Legal Literacy
Throughout the week, K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University hosted a series of important meetings under the "Law and Order" initiative. Representatives from the Regional Department of Justice, judicial officers, experienced lawyers, and legal experts introduced students to key aspects of legal literacy. More than 3,000 students participated in these events, gaining deeper knowledge of legal science and engaging in discussions.
The primary goal of the initiative was to familiarize students with the practical application of legislation in Kazakhstan, explain the interaction of justice institutions, and enhance their legal awareness. The discussions also covered crime prevention, compliance with legal requirements, and included practical advice for students.
Timur Ubishev, Head of the Intellectual Property Department of the Aktobe Region's Department of Justice, spoke about preventing legal violations and combating them, emphasizing the importance of culture and education in establishing law and order. He noted that a legally aware youth contributes to strengthening the national legal system.
Akkalka Baidullina, Representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Aktobe Region, highlighted the relevance of the topic. According to her, law and order are fundamental to ensuring safety and justice in society.
"Law is a set of rules, and our daily lives are closely tied to them. Following and respecting these rules is the foundation of a stable society. Laws arise out of necessity and regulate every sphere of life. It is crucial for students—future leaders and professionals—to understand the value of legal order and how legislation affects their lives," said Baidullina.
The event also featured Liza Andakulova, a member of the Notary Chamber of Aktobe Region, Dinara Khamzina, a member of the Regional Chamber of Private Judicial Officers, and Dauren Aldaniyasov, a member of the Bar Association. They emphasized the importance of legal knowledge, civic responsibility, and compliance with the law.
During the discussions, students actively asked questions and engaged in conversations about current legal issues, deepening their understanding of Kazakhstan's legal system.
