Seminar on preventing harmful habits held at zhubanov university
Zhubanov University hosted a seminar on preventing harmful habits among youth. The event featured narcologists and psychologists, who provided students with advice on protecting themselves from serious health risks such as drug addiction and AIDS.
Aidan Rysbekova, a psychiatrist and narcologist from the Regional Mental Health Center, spoke about the dangers of psychotropic substances and ways to prevent addiction, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for young people.
"Drug addiction is a pressing issue today. Many young people believe that trying a banned substance just once is harmless, but this can lead to addiction," she warned.
Additionally, Aizhan Zhailaubaeva, Head of the Preventive Work Department at the Regional AIDS Center, provided insights into the spread of AIDS and preventive measures. She explained that the key to protecting oneself from the disease is leading a safe and responsible lifestyle.
During the seminar, students actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and received valuable information and guidance on avoiding harmful habits.
