Regional model united nations conference held

On February 9, Zhubanov University hosted the Regional Model United Nations Conference, organized in collaboration with AKXMUN—the Aktobe Model UN Club of Nazarbayev Intellectual School—and ZHMUN, the Zhubanov University Model UN Club.

The event gathered 106 delegates from schools and universities in Aktobe. Participants represented institutions such as the Aktobe branch of Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Aktobe Lyceum, Smart Bilim, Schools No. 125, 45, 72, 63, 64, 78, AIS Aqbobek, QazGUU, Bilim-Innovation Lyceum, Zhubanov University, Heriot-Watt University's Aktobe Campus, and "BIL"—an educational institution from Shymkent.

The conference was structured around four main committees:
UNGA (United Nations General Assembly), UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council), UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization)

Delegates in each committee engaged in discussions on complex and pressing international issues, negotiated policies, and drafted resolutions. Throughout the event, participants refined their diplomatic skills, demonstrated teamwork and leadership, and proposed innovative solutions.

Beyond formal debates, the conference also provided a platform for networking, idea exchange, and cross-cultural interaction. This experience not only deepened students' understanding of international relations and global politics but also contributed to their personal growth, helping them form new friendships and explore different cultural perspectives.
