
Intellectual competition "QAZ IQ BATTLE"
Today, Zhubanov University hosted the "QAZ IQ Battle" intellectual competition dedicated to Kazakh culture and ethnography.
The aim of the competition was to promote a deeper understanding of the rich spiritual heritage, traditions, language, and ethnographic characteristics of the Kazakh people, fostering critical thinking and increasing interest in national values.
A total of eight teams, composed of faculty members and students from different faculties, participated in the competition, answering challenging questions about traditional Kazakh culture, ethnography, mythology, and historical figures.
The competition consisted of three rounds:
Round 1: Participants answered questions on ancient Kazakh traditions, customs, and ethnographic features.
Round 2: Teams explored historical legal traditions and customs, analyzing their social roles and legal norms in traditional Kazakh society. Topics included "Barımta", "Qanğa qan, qun dauy", "Enshi bölisu", "Óli-tiri daýy – atastyrý dástúri", and "Aqsüyek pen qarasüyek".
Round 3: The final round tested the teams' quick thinking and linguistic skills.
At the end of the competition, the winning teams were awarded diplomas and special prizes.
