Memorandum of cooperation on combating internet fraud signed

Today, Zhubanov University and the Department of Internal Affairs of Aktobe Region signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at combating internet fraud.

Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs Galym Baizhanov emphasized that internet fraud is becoming increasingly widespread, making this cooperation highly significant. He expressed readiness for joint initiatives focused on protecting people from online threats.

In turn, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs Erkin Tastankulov highlighted the importance of informing students in a timely manner about the dangers of internet fraud and how to protect themselves. He also stressed the need to engage young people in volunteer work in the field of cybersecurity.

At the meeting, the parties discussed further joint work. In particular, within the framework of the memorandum it is planned to organize internships for students, provide employment for graduates, conduct lectures, trainings and seminars on such topics as types of Internet fraud, personal data protection, phishing, account hacking, develop a volunteer movement in the field of cyber security and organize training events to build skills to protect against fraud.
