Zhubanov debate league officially launched
Today, Zhubanov University hosted the official opening of the ZHUBANOV Debate League. The league brings together 22 teams from 6 clubs, aiming to enhance students’ intellectual level and develop their leadership skills.
The league consists of three game days, each divided into three rounds. The topics of each round are carefully selected to encourage students to think deeply and express their arguments effectively.
The primary goal of the league is to improve students' critical thinking skills and cultivate leadership qualities. Additionally, the event helps young people develop their ability to confidently and persuasively defend their viewpoints. Another key objective of the league is to identify talented and creative students and prepare them for important roles in society.
On the first day, teams debated topics such as:
"Ways to Improve Student Self-Governance"
"Identifying the Main Causes of Gambling Addiction Among Youth"
"Effective Ways to Reduce Youth Crime"
These discussions broadened students’ perspectives on societal issues and helped them develop critical thinking skills.
The league will run until April 30.
