
International scientific and practical conference for young scientists held at Zhubanov university
On April 14, 2025, Zhubanov University hosted the XXI International Traditional Scientific and Practical Conference "Youth, Science and Innovation". The event brought together international and local scientists, young researchers, master’s students, and undergraduates to discuss recent scientific achievements and innovative ideas.
The conference was moderated by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Rakhym Beknazarov, who emphasized the importance of the meeting and wished all participants success.
During the conference, key issues of scientific and innovative development were discussed. Presentations and studies covered relevant aspects of modern science and innovation. Notably, Dr. Fabio Grazioso, Associate Professor at the Heriot-Watt University’s Aktobe campus, delivered a talk on effective approaches to using artificial intelligence and deep learning methods for image segmentation. Dr. Viachaslau Filimonau, a PhD lecturer from the University of Surrey in the UK, presented a report on the impact of women’s entrepreneurship in Central Asia on a sustainable and inclusive economy.
"Green women's entrepreneurship is vital for social and economic development. Supporting women entrepreneurs strengthens local communities and contributes to economic stability," he said.
Assoc. Prof. Aynura Djoldoshova from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov addressed the development of project competencies in designers.
PhD, Assoc. Prof. Murat Makhambetov shared results from a study assessing the ecological condition of pasture ecosystems in the Aktobe region. His research included important recommendations for the sustainable use of natural resources and maintaining environmental balance. Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Umbetkhan Sarsenbin explored the connection between scientific progress and ethical issues. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that modern research aligns with ethical standards, noting that emerging technologies and methods can sometimes create ethical dilemmas.
Each speaker contributed to strengthening the relationship between science and society and advancing new methods and technologies. The participants exchanged views on various scientific disciplines and innovations, shared experiences, and discussed recent research findings. The conference also highlighted the contributions of young people to science and their role in global development through research.
