Zhubanov university students win prize at international engineering championship CASE-IN
The regional semi-final of the international engineering championship CASE-IN in the "Petrochemistry" category was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
CASE-IN is one of the largest international platforms aimed at unleashing engineering potential. The championship brings together thousands of students and young professionals each year, offering them an opportunity to develop engineering thinking, analytical skills, and teamwork by solving real production cases provided by leading industrial companies.
This stage of the competition featured 12 teams from cities such as Almaty, Karaganda, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Uralsk, and others.
The Golden Oil team from Zhubanov University delivered an outstanding performance and won the second prize.
The team’s mentor, PhD G.K. Abilova, Associate Professor of the “Oil and Gas Engineering” Department, noted that participating in the championship provided students with valuable experience in solving practical engineering problems, defending their projects, making effective decisions under time constraints, collaborating in teams, and applying creative problem-solving. This experience also gave a strong boost to their professional and academic growth.
The Golden Oil team consisted of the following students from the “Petrochemical Production Technology” program:
Kairat Alem, Aisana Amangali, Samal Dias, and Zhanat Abdulla, a student of the “Chemical Engineering” program.
Congratulations to our students on their success and best wishes for their future achievements!
