
Zhubanov university and Sultan Idris Education university: new cooperation opportunities discussed
Today, a delegation of professors from Sultan Idris Education University (Malaysia) visited Zhubanov University and met with the university's leadership to discuss prospects for further cooperation. The delegation included Professor Mohd Fauzi bin Seddon from the Faculty of Arts, Sustainable Development and Creative Industries, Professor Mohd Hasan bin Abdullah from the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, and Professors Che Zalina Zulkufli and Salim Abdullah from the Faculty of Computing and Meta Technology.
During the meeting, Zhubanov University Rector Laura Karabasova warmly welcomed the foreign guests, presenting the university’s history, scientific activities, and academic programs. In her speech, the rector highlighted that Zhubanov University is a multidisciplinary and leading educational institution with great potential for joint projects and research. She also mentioned that students from the Aktobe campus are currently studying at the Heriot-Watt University campus in Malaysia, which is a partner of Zhubanov University.
The representatives of the Malaysian university expressed a strong interest in developing cooperation with Zhubanov University. During the dialogue, the parties discussed opportunities for joint scientific research and projects, academic mobility for students, and research internships. The Malaysian delegation also familiarized themselves with the international projects and programs of Zhubanov University and expressed their willingness to explore new educational opportunities for students.
“We continue to open international centers around the world and develop cooperation in education and science. Now we would like to implement such projects in Kazakhstan. We are confident that your university will become one of our partners,” said Che Zalina Zulkufli.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual commitment to continuing cooperation in the field of education and science and discussed a number of issues aimed at strengthening ties between the two universities.
