Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics — a Strategic Partner of Zhubanov University
On May 13, 2025, in Urumqi, a regular meeting of the Board of the Confucius Institute at Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics was held under the chairmanship of Dastan Khusainov, Vice-Rector of Zhubanov University, and Julaiti Turdi, Rector of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics.
The Confucius Institute is an international project jointly established by Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics and Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov. The Chinese side was represented by the university’s leadership.
During the meeting, the annual report on the activities of the Confucius Institute at Zhubanov University was presented, and further cooperation plans were discussed. As a result of the bilateral negotiations, both sides agreed to organize a joint scientific conference in October 2025 and to implement collaborative research projects involving faculty members from both universities.
In addition, within the framework of the meeting, a session was held with students studying at Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics under Zhubanov University’s academic mobility program. Currently, three students are continuing their studies there. During the meeting, they shared their learning experiences and future aspirations.
This cooperation marks an important step toward strengthening educational ties between the two countries and advancing scientific research to a new level.
