K. Zhubanov University Participated in an International Education Exhibition in China

In May 2025, the international conference “Cooperation between China and Central Asia in the Fields of Production, Education, Research and Application” was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China.

As part of the conference, the “Study in Kazakhstan” educational exhibition took place on May 13, featuring 16 leading universities of Kazakhstan. Among them, the delegation from Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov took an active part, presenting the university’s international potential.

The delegation included:

Mayra Aldiyarova – Director of the Department of International Cooperation

Zulfiya Urumbasarova – Deputy Head for Academic Affairs of the Heriot-Watt Campus Project


During the exhibition, university representatives introduced international partners and prospective students to Zhubanov University’s educational programs, opportunities for academic mobility, double-degree projects, international scholarships, and study conditions.

The Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Huai Jinpeng, highlighted the importance of expanding educational cooperation between China and Central Asian countries. He proposed the creation of joint educational platforms, the development of professional and digital education, and the strengthening of intercivilizational ties.

The interest shown by the Education Office of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region confirmed the potential for fruitful educational partnerships between China and Kazakhstan. Zhubanov University’s participation in this event provided an opportunity to showcase the quality of Kazakhstani education at the international level and to explore new areas of collaboration with foreign partners.
