Young Scientist of Zhubanov University Received a Research Grant
Abilkhair Isakulov, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of «Transport Engineering, Transportation Organization, and Construction» at K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, has received grant funding under the «Жас ғылым» (Young Scientist) scientific project for 2025–2027.
The scientist’s project AP25794879, titled «Utilization of Polyethylene Film Waste as a Binder for Producing Reed-Layered Building Material,» aims to address current environmental challenges.
The main goal of the project is to develop a reed-layered building material that is both environmentally friendly and demonstrates high technical and economic efficiency, using polyethylene film waste as a binding component.
Polyethylene film is one of the most widely used materials in construction and everyday life, but it is difficult to decompose naturally,therefore, the issue of its recycling is extremely relevant today.
This initiative by A. Isakulov will help reduce the environmental impact and promote the principles of sustainable development through the efficient use of waste in Kazakhstan’s construction industry.
