In partnership with Heriot-Watt University in the UK, we are not only enhancing IT education, with a particular focus on the quality of applied science training, including Computer Science, but also preparing highly qualified specialists for the oil, gas, and energy industries. I believe that graduates of the joint program with Heriot-Watt University will soon play a key role in shaping the future of the energy sector as well as other projects that will open up new opportunities for the country’s development.
The central theme of Kasym-Jomart Tokayev’s speech was the state’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy and a new paradigm of human capital development, where human knowledge, creativity, and advanced technologies take center stage.
