The “Future Prosecutor” space opened at Zhubanov University

v

On September 19, a delegation from the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by Deputy Prosecutor General Galymzhan Koigeldiev, visited the K. Zhubanov University (ARU).

During the visit, an excursion was held at Zhubanov University and the Heriot-Watt campus, and the guests were also shown the criminal investigation training ground that opened at the university last year. This training area allows students to practice criminal investigation skills in scenarios close to real-life situations, while also testing new methods and technologies. The facility is equipped with a full range of modern and traditional tools used at all stages of crime scene investigation. Notably, this is one of the first training centers for future lawyers in the region, and it has no analogues in the western part of Kazakhstan.

The highlight of the visit was the ceremonial opening of the "Future Prosecutor's Corner" in the technical campus library. Here, students can find various textbooks and monographs by leading scholars on the development and establishment of law enforcement agencies in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In turn, the General Prosecutor’s Office donated 200 textbooks to Zhubanov University. The university’s library collection has thus been expanded with a unique collection of legal literature. These valuable educational resources will be of great support to law students in their studies.

The visit concluded with a guest lecture by the Deputy Prosecutor General.
