Guest Lecture of Foreign Scientist at Zhubanov University
From September 22 to 26, 2025, students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Zhubanov University and young researchers had the chance to attend lectures by Professor Yuri Zorenko on the topic “Condensed Matter Physics.”
During the lectures, the professor explained the main theoretical foundations and modern practical use of condensed matter physics and also held scientific discussions with the audience.
Yuri Vladimirovich Zorenko is the Head of the Department of Optoelectronic Materials at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics.
He is the author of more than 300 scientific articles and has supervised over 60 research projects. Under his guidance, projects were successfully carried out with the support of INTAS, NATO, NCN, NCBR and other international organizations. He is also the coordinator of the project Net Net Plus NANOLUX 2014 ID 286 and the international project Opus 24 LAP in the Horizon 2020 program. Professor Zorenko is a member of the Polish Physical Society (PTF), Chairman of its Bydgoszcz branch, and a member of the Polish Society of Medical Physics (PTFM).
The scientist has a high Hirsch index of 36, which shows the authority of his research work.
The lectures were focused on new materials, optoelectronic structures and modern research methods. They gave young researchers useful knowledge that combines theory and practice.
