
Rector of the University Received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China
At Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, a meeting was held with Han Chunlin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening partnerships in the fields of education and science, developing language projects, and implementing joint scientific research. Chen Huailong, General Director of the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for Central Asia and Russia, also took part in the meeting.
The Confucius Institute at Zhubanov University has been operating successfully since 2010. Today, ten specialists from Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics (China) work here, teaching Chinese to specialists of the Aktobe CNPC company and local residents. Currently, about 400 people from Aktobe are studying at the institute.
In addition, the HSK Chinese Language Testing Center based at Zhubanov University has been awarded the title of “Best Testing Center" in the world for the second year in a row, confirming the university’s success in international cooperation and the high quality of Chinese language teaching.
Ambassador Han Chunlin got acquainted with the activities of the Confucius Institute and presented an interactive board to support the learning process. The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere, and both parties expressed interest in further strengthening their partnership in the scientific and educational fields.
In this regard, a proposal was made to open a joint scientific research room and to carry out collaborative research projects between Zhubanov University and the Aktobe Oil and Gas Company CNPC. Ambassador Han Chunlin supported this initiative, noting its potential to elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level.
