Heriot-Watt University Students – The Pride of Local Schools
Among the students who enrolled at the Aktobe campus of Heriot-Watt University this academic year are both international students and some of the best graduates from local schools.
Applicants who chose this international university will study in English in their chosen fields and, upon completion of their studies, will receive a double degree — from Heriot-Watt University and K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University.
To mark this occasion, university representatives visited several city schools whose graduates had become Heriot-Watt students, where they presented letters of appreciation and congratulations from the rector to the school principals.
The school leadership, in turn, expressed gratitude to the university and shared their joy that their graduates now have the opportunity to pursue international education. They also noted that the opening of one of the UK’s leading technical universities — Heriot-Watt University — in Aktobe is an important step for the region’s educational development.
A university with a global reputation and strong expertise in engineering, energy, and business, Heriot-Watt now offers young people in the region access to world-class education.
