Improving Education Quality and Teacher Training — A Shared Responsibility

The Rector of Zhubanov University and the Head of the Department of Education of Aktobe met with principals of city schools and preschool institutions.

The meeting comprehensively addressed key issues affecting the quality of preschool, primary, and secondary education, and resulted in the approval of a joint action plan.

The parties proposed specific measures aimed at improving teacher training, enhancing career guidance, and strengthening cooperation in the field of research. To improve teaching practice, a mechanism for long-term employment of students in educational organizations facing staff shortages is being considered. This approach aims to strengthen the connection between graduates and their future workplaces and to ensure staff stability in schools.

In addition, the university is implementing a free training program for school career counselors. This initiative will help guide students toward professions that are in high demand in the labor market.

The meeting also discussed the integration of science and practice. University professors will have the opportunity to participate in school lessons, study the educational process, and carry out joint research projects. Such collaboration will enrich the content of teaching practice and increase the relevance of research topics.

Special attention was given to the development of inclusive education. The parties agreed to cooperate on the joint use of inclusive classrooms, teacher retraining, and the renewal of educational and methodological resources.

The meeting marked an important step toward improving the quality of education, creating an effective model for teacher preparation, and strengthening the partnership between the university and schools.
