Students and Faculty of Zhubanov University Impress Bulgaria!
For the first time, students from K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, together with their instructor, Professor Dr. Marziya Zhaksygarina, were invited as special guests to the National Student Art Festival of the South-West University «Neofit Rilski.» As part of the festival, an exhibition-competition was held, featuring the largest universities of Bulgaria alongside Zhubanov University.
The international jury of the exhibition-competition highly praised the works of Zhubanov University students. As a result, our students received all prize-winning places (1st place – 6 students, 2nd place – 10 students, 3rd place – 14 students). In total, Zhubanov University earned 61 awards.
The visit program was notably rich.
As part of her academic mobility at SWU «Neofit Rilski,» Dr. Marziya Zhaksygarina delivered a lecture titled «Ex Libris – A Mark of Ownership,» conducted a workshop on creating ex libris designs, and opened a personal exhibition featuring 152 works, along with an additional exhibition of 155 student ex libris artworks.
Furthermore, student projects in graphic design, book illustration, fashion design, and architecture were presented.
As a gesture of academic partnership and respect, the entire exhibition from K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University was donated to SWU «Neofit Rilski.»
Professor Dr. Emil Kukov filmed a documentary about the exhibition, lecture, and workshop of Dr. Marziya Zhaksygarina. The film is available on the YouTube channel, official website, and Facebook page of the South-West University «Neofit Rilski.»
