University Rector Meets with the Malaysian Ambassador to Kazakhstan
A meeting was held at K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University with the Ambassador of Malaysia to Kazakhstan, Mohammad Adli bin Abdullah. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, expanding student academic mobility programs, and implementing joint research projects.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of collaboration in the fields of education and science. The Rector noted that the university places special emphasis on developing international partnerships, and expanding cooperation between the Heriot-Watt University campus in Malaysia and the Aktobe campus is one of its strategic priorities.
Within the academic mobility program for the 2024–2025 academic year, 14 students received the opportunity to study at the Heriot-Watt campus in Malaysia; this year, the number was 12.
Ambassador Mohammad Adli bin Abdullah, in turn, highly praised Zhubanov University’s role at both regional and national levels and expressed readiness to support mutually beneficial initiatives, including joint programs, academic mobility, short-term internships, and cultural exchange.
The university leadership highlighted that expanding international cooperation will strengthen students’ global competitiveness and improve the quality of educational programs.
