International Experts Conduct External Evaluation of Several Academic Programs

On December 3–4, experts from the international accreditation agency ASIIN carried out an external evaluation of 10 academic programs of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics as part of the accreditation process.

The evaluation included a comprehensive analysis of the programs’ compliance with international standards and overall education quality. The physics and mathematics programs were grouped into separate clusters. Each cluster was reviewed by three international and two Kazakhstani expert teams, which included representatives from the German universities of Vechta and Leibniz, the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, as well as Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, and the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktobe.

The academic programs that successfully passed international accreditation are:

  • 6B01501 – Mathematics

  • 8D05401 – Mathematics

In addition, the international experts held meetings with students, department faculty, alumni, and employers to discuss key areas for improving academic programs.
