A Seminar on Improving Legal Literacy Held at the University
As part of the international campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence”, an informational seminar aimed at improving the legal literacy of women and girls was held at the university.
During the event, the Chair of the Regional Council of Businesswomen and member of the City Maslikhat, Kulparshin Aidarkhanova, shared comprehensive information on the types of gender-based violence and the support mechanisms provided by governmental and public organizations.
Guldanа Baymbetova, Senior Prosecutor of the Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records for the Aktobe Region, shared practical advice with students and emphasized the importance of legal literacy, using examples based on real-life situations. She also explained the steps that must be taken in cases of domestic violence.
The seminar contributes to fostering a culture of zero tolerance for gender-based violence among the youth.
