Zhubanov University has received a significant software donation from Petroleum Experts (Petex)
Petroleum Experts Limited (Petex), a petroleum engineering company based in Edinburgh and internationally recognized for developing advanced engineering software for oil and gas field optimization, has donated educational licences for their IPM software suite to Zhubanov University at no cost. The total commercial value of the donated software amounts to £2,662,347.63 (1 788 000 000 KZT).
The package includes licences for the full IPM Suite — PROSPER, GAP, PVTP, MBAL, REVEAL, RESOLVE. These tools are widely used in global industry and academia for well modelling, reservoir analysis, production optimization.
Using industry-standard digital tools will strengthen their technical competencies, support research projects, and better prepare them for professional work in the energy sector.
This contribution will significantly enhance the educational capabilities of Zhubanov University and support the integration of advanced digital technologies into petroleum engineering training.
