Zhubanov University has received a significant software donation from Petex
Petex, an internationally recognised petroleum engineering software company, has donated educational licences for its IPM software suite to Zhubanov University at no cost. The total commercial value of the donated software amounts to £2,662,347.63 (1,788,000,000 KZT).
The package includes licences for the full IPM Suite — PROSPER, GAP, PVTP, MBAL, REVEAL, RESOLVE. These tools are widely used in global industry and academia for well modelling, reservoir analysis, and production optimisation.
Using industry-standard digital tools will strengthen students’ technical competencies, support research projects, and better prepare them for professional work in the energy sector.
This contribution will significantly enhance the educational capabilities of Zhubanov University and support the integration of advanced digital technologies into petroleum engineering training.
