Zhubanov University Strengthens Its Position in IT Education
Amid rapid digital transformation, the competitiveness of universities increasingly depends on the quality of their IT infrastructure, academic staff, and international partnerships. In this regard, K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University demonstrated strong results at the Huawei Awards Ceremony 2025–2026.
The university ranked among the top four higher education institutions in Kazakhstan by the number of students who obtained Huawei certifications through national educational initiatives, including the AI-SANA program. This achievement reflects the university’s focus on practice-oriented education and the development of digital skills that meet labor market needs.
An important factor behind this success is the professionalism of the teaching staff. Lecturer and Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technologies, Banu Gabidenovna Omirzakova, was awarded the Huawei “Instructor of the Year” title, highlighting the high quality of IT education at the university.
Currently, the AI-SANA program unites 45 academies and more than 200,000 students across Kazakhstan. Zhubanov University’s strong performance within this large-scale initiative confirms its growing role as one of the country’s key centers for IT education and training qualified specialists for the digital economy.
