Shortage of Practical AI Specialists Reported at the National Kurultai
At the National Kurultai, Rector of K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University Laura Karabassova spoke about the need to strengthen the training of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, Kazinform reports.
According to her, it is important for Kazakhstan not to lag behind global AI development processes; however, this requires qualified, practice-oriented professionals. At the same time, existing conditions do not allow the education sector to compete with business on equal terms.
“To train strong professionals, it is necessary to consider appropriate funding mechanisms,” Laura Karabasova noted.
She emphasized that without targeted support and investment in education, the development of the artificial intelligence sector will be challenging.
