The New Constitution and National Values

A youth forum was held at the university with the participation of well-known journalists, political scientists, and legal experts who play an important role in the socio-political life of the country.

The TEDx-style forum focused on explaining the key directions of the new Constitution and promoting national values among young people.

The event brought together more than 800 young people from across the region. Deputy Akim of the region, Zholdas Batyrkhan, noted that the new Constitution reflects the demands of the time and addressed important topics such as civic responsibility, family values and marriage, as well as digital security.

Chair of the Board and Rector, member of the Constitutional Reform Commission, Laura Karabassova, highlighted the importance of state support for science, innovation, and the education sector, which is recognized as a strategic priority in the draft Constitution.

“The new document has been created for the bright future of young people, and it clearly outlines citizens’ rights in the Kazakh language,” said Akerke Iskanderova, Chair of the Zhastar Rukhy youth wing of the AMANAT party.

Talgat Alibayev, First Deputy Prosecutor of Aktobe Region, discussed the legal and social significance of the new Constitution.

Aliya Ashim, a Bolashak program graduate, journalist, and documentary filmmaker, demonstrated through real examples how perseverance and responsibility contribute to success.

Aigerim Yesenali, Director of Orda FM radio station and political scientist, emphasized the importance of improving legal literacy and fact-checking information published on social media.

The forum provided an opportunity to enhance young people’s legal awareness, gain a deeper understanding of the draft Constitution, and take a fresh look at national values
