HealTech 2026 Expo Held in Aktobe

At the Students’ Palace of K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, students of the Heriot-Watt University Aktobe Campus presented their Health Companion projects.

Students from the Computer Engineering program were divided into 16 teams, each developing its own startup. Every team worked like a real company, focusing on solving a practical challenge — helping people better monitor and manage their health. As a result, 16 unique solutions were created, combining technological innovation with real potential for implementation.

However, the project went far beyond programming.

Students developed a wide range of skills — from system architecture and engineering solutions to building business models and defining product value. Most importantly, they learned how to turn an idea into a real startup.

The goal is to bring the best projects to the level of real companies.

During the expo, teams presented their solutions to experts and received evaluations based on software engineering standards. This is no longer just about studying — it is about real skills, real products, and a real future.
