Scientific Heritage and Anniversary: Honoring Igor Spivak-Lavrov
A meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics was held in honor of Professor Igor Spivak-Lavrov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
The event was attended by the university administration, representatives of the scientific community, faculty members, as well as the professor’s relatives and students, who expressed their warm wishes on the occasion of his anniversary.
In her congratulatory speech, Rector Laura Karabasova highlighted the professor’s significant contribution to the scientific community and presented him with a congratulatory letter on behalf of the Akim of the region, Askhat Shakharov.
Professor Igor Spivak-Lavrov is an outstanding specialist in corpuscular optics and theoretical physics, and the author of numerous scientific publications. He has made a significant contribution to promoting Kazakhstan’s scientific achievements at the international level.
He is a recipient of the «Құрмет» Order and the title «Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan»as well as a two-time winner of the national award «Best University Professor».
