Mathematical Knowledge and Logical Thinking: XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad
On April 27–28, the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad in Mathematics was held among students of mathematics programs at higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event brought together top students from 19 leading universities across the country. Their level of mathematical knowledge, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills was assessed.
During the Olympiad, participants solved complex mathematical problems, demonstrating strong analytical thinking and the ability to make quick decisions.
In addition, for the first time, the I Republican intellectual competition “Mathematical Duel” was organized. A total of 11 teams from different regions of the country took part in this team-based competition, competing in areas such as teamwork, speed of thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical thinking culture. This format allows students to develop not only academic knowledge but also communication and leadership skills.
According to the results of the competition, winners and prize-winners were awarded special diplomas, certificates of appreciation, and valuable prizes.
The Olympiad contributed to strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between universities, promoting the exchange of experience, and enhancing the creative potential of young researchers.
