Information Sessions on the «Bolashak» and «Scientific Internships» Programs Held in Aktobe
Awareness and outreach activities on the «Bolashak»and «Scientific Internships» programs continue to expand across the regions of Kazakhstan. Another series of informational meetings was held in the western region of the country — in the city of Aktobe.
Representatives of the International Programs Center JSC met with researchers, faculty members, doctoral students, residents, and senior students of Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov and Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University who are interested in studying and undertaking scientific internships abroad.
The welcoming speech was delivered by Dastan Khusainov, Member of the Management Board and Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digitalization of Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov. He introduced the participants to the university’s mission and key development priorities.
In turn, Kaisar Yerkinbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the International Programs Center JSC, and Aida Anuar, Chief Manager of the Europe and Asia Department, presented up-to-date information about the programs administered by the Center. They also explained the admission procedures, academic mobility opportunities, and recent changes in the competitive selection process.
In addition, the participants visited the Heriot-Watt University Engineering Center operating on the university campus, where discussions were held with international scholars and experts.
The next venue for the informational briefing was Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University. Representatives of the Center were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Project Management, International Cooperation, and Digitalization E.M. Iztleuov, as well as Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Affairs N.A. Abenova.
During the meeting, special attention was given to the opportunities provided by the «Bolashak» program for future medical professionals, including education and professional internships in high-demand medical fields.
It is worth noting that more than fifty scholarship recipients from the Aktobe region are currently studying under the «Bolashak» and «Scientific Internships» programs. In addition, around sixty graduates who completed their studies through these programs are now working in the region. All of them received education and professional experience at leading foreign universities and research centers around the world.
