Republican Competition Among Chinese-Speaking Youth Held in Aktobe

The results of the final stage of the worldwide “Chinese Bridge” competition among Kazakhstani school and university students have been announced.

During the competition, participants demonstrated their proficiency in the Chinese language, as well as their knowledge of Chinese culture, history, music, and art. The event was organized by the Confucius Institute with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the regional consulate. The program also featured presentations of Chinese national traditions and cultural heritage.

The event was attended by representatives of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Aktobe, as well as directors of Confucius Institutes at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages, and Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov.

The Confucius Institute at Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov is one of the leading centers in western Kazakhstan for Chinese language education and the promotion of Chinese culture.

The institute’s main objective is to strengthen educational and scientific cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, provide Chinese language instruction, and promote friendly relations between the two countries.
