Academic Council Reviews Outcomes of Educational and Social Work
At the latest meeting of the Academic Council, issues related to the implementation of the university’s social and youth policy were discussed. During the session, Narkozy Kartzhan, Member of the Management Board and Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs, presented a substantive report on the results of educational activities in the 2025–2026 academic year, the effectiveness of social initiatives, and the integration of state ideological priorities into the university’s educational environment.
The report highlighted that systematic work has been carried out to develop students’ civic responsibility, enhance legal awareness, ensure social adaptation, and strengthen value-based orientations among youth.
As a result of joint preventive efforts conducted by law enforcement agencies and the mentoring system within the framework of the “Law and Order” concept, a reduction in student-related offenses was recorded, contributing to a safer and more favorable socio-psychological environment at the university.
Within the national environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan,” and with the active participation of the university association, approximately 2,500 tons of paper waste and 6,500 tons of plastic waste were collected and sent for recycling. In addition, sanitation activities were carried out across an area of 8,500 square meters, and 200 trees were planted.
Furthermore, the activities of 30 student clubs and organizations were recognized as an important and effective model of educational work, contributing to students’ adaptation to university life, the development of civic engagement, and their overall personal growth.
Following the Academic Council meeting, the effectiveness of the implemented social and educational work was reviewed, and priority directions were identified for the continued development of institutional youth policy mechanisms and the improvement of students’ social well-being.
