«Ғылымға қадам 2.0» (Step into Science 2.0) Project Successfully Completed
The «Ғылымға қадам 2.0» (Step into Science 2.0) project, launched in May at the initiative of the National Commission on Women Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has successfully concluded.
The final lecture was delivered by the project author, Laura Karabassova, Chair of the Management Board and Rector of the university. During the session, she spoke about the current pace of scientific development in Kazakhstan and the support measures available to researchers.
The project brought together 45 teachers from educational institutions of the Mugalzhar District. Over the course of a month, university researchers and faculty members conducted seminars, workshops, and practical training sessions on the fundamentals of scientific research.
The program was developed based on teachers’ professional needs, with a particular focus on academic writing, research methodology, and project development. The curriculum combined theoretical and practical components. At the conclusion of the project, participants presented research papers and projects prepared under the guidance of mentors and received feedback from experts.
In addition, within the framework of the project implemented at Zhubanov University, regional educators were provided with access to the university’s laboratory facilities, inclusive education classrooms, and library resources.
The “Step into Science 2.0” project received highly positive feedback from participants and attracted interest from other districts of the region. The initiative was aimed at strengthening teachers’ research competencies, developing skills in academic writing and project design, and improving the quality of science education in schools across the region.
