Young Researcher’s Study Published in an International Scientific Journal
A research article by Master’s student Dilnaz Konbayeva entitled «Mpox-Related Knowledge, Risk Perception, and Vaccination Willingness among University Students in Aktobe, Kazakhstan: A Cross-Sectional Study» has been published in the prestigious international scientific journal Vaccines. The journal is one of the leading peer-reviewed publications indexed in the Web of Science database and publishes cutting-edge research in the fields of vaccination, immunology, and public health.
The study involved 482 university students from Aktobe and aimed to assess their level of knowledge about Mpox (monkeypox), perceptions of disease-related risks, and willingness to receive vaccination.
The findings demonstrated that awareness of infectious diseases and attitudes toward vaccination among students are key factors influencing the effectiveness of public health systems. The study also showed that increasing vaccine awareness among young people is essential for strengthening preparedness for future infectious disease outbreaks.
The research makes a significant contribution to the fields of public health, preventive medicine, and infectious disease prevention. It also provides valuable scientific evidence for promoting health awareness among young people in Kazakhstan.
The study was conducted under the supervision of Arman Issimov, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology, Candidate of Sciences, and researcher specializing in virology and immunology. He is the author of numerous scientific publications in the fields of infectious diseases and public health.
