Educational program: 7M02303 – Foreign philology
The purpose of the educational program is to train philological researchers who possess systematic knowledge in the field of modern linguistics and literary studies, possess foreign language and communicative competencies at a professional level, are capable of improving and developing professional and pedagogical activities, are able to carry out intercultural communication, and possess modern effective methods of analyzing objects of language, literature and culture in a comparative aspect.

- philologist -junior researcher in scientific organizations of the relevant profile;
- teacher of foreign languages and literature in secondary specialized and professional, post-secondary vocational educational institutions of the humanities.

-educational organizations, including those with multilingual education: lyceums, gymnasiums and colleges;
-educational institutions of philological and vocational education;
-organizations, institutions, and services in the industrial and non-industrial sectors. of various organizational and legal forms, specializing in philology 
Functions and types of educational activities: 
Functions of professional activity:
-solving current linguistic and didactic problems of teaching foreign languages and literature;
- planning the educational process in foreign languages and literature; creative solution of methodological problems;
-the use of both traditional forms and methods of teaching, as well as innovative technologies;
-development and provision of the educational process with the necessary set of educational and methodological documentation and materials; conducting philological research 
In scientific research activities: 
- participation in scientific conferences based on professional knowledge and the use of innovative technologies that allow solving typical tasks in various scientific and practical fields of philology;  
- study of scientific information, domestic and foreign experience on the subject of research;  
- application of standardized techniques; 
- data processing using standard software packages;
- meaningful interpretation of the results. 
In language activities: 
- teaching of a foreign language (English) as a general education discipline in secondary schools with advanced study of English language and literature, in colleges and lyceums; 
- collection and registration of educational materials; conducting practical classes within the framework of the approved plan and programs; 
- participation in conducting testing based on the results of training; 
- participation in educational and methodological work in the field of secondary education; 
- editing and correction of texts of various genre and stylistic orientation. 
In organizational and managerial activities: 
- planning of the educational process in foreign languages and literature; 
- organization of testing of students based on the results of training;
- carrying out organizational work with the trained personnel of the organization;  
- the use of regulatory and ethical knowledge in the implementation of professional activities.

Graduates of the postgraduate educational program 7M02303–Foreign Philology can work within the following types of professional activities: 
- educational (language); 
-organizational and managerial; 
- scientific research;
-other professional activities that require the application of fundamental linguistic and literary knowledge based on ethical knowledge of foreign languages.

During their studies master degree students have the opportunity to participate in international and national academic mobility programs, which provide an opportunity to study at other universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and at universities in the far and near abroad for one semester.
