EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
All courses in the department are fully equipped with methodological handouts for students' independent work. Annually, the faculty members receive internationally recognized certificates. They actively participate in methodological seminars organized by the university and the faculty, successfully presenting their reports and projects, as well as exchanging experiences.
The department's faculty engages in scientific research, publishing articles, theses, and reports in scientific works and collections from international and national conferences.
The university has created conditions for participation in online seminars in foreign languages. In particular, during the 2018-2019 academic years, lecturer A.N. Zhensikbaeva completed a professional development course in English in the cities of Almaty and Nur-Sultan. Faculty members M.S. Kurgambekov, A.Z. Umbetova, and G.M. Algartova were elected members of the editorial board of the International Scientific and Practical Conferences of the Sterlitamak branch of Bashkir State University (Russia).
To enhance the qualifications of the faculty members of the department, the following activities are conducted:

These events contribute to the professional growth of teachers and improve the quality of education at the department.
he university conducted free English language courses, and as a result, from November to May of the 2023-2024 academic year, 10 faculty members from the department received certificates. Among them, K. B. Kasenova and S. K. Tanirbergenova teach in the educational program 7M01405 — Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics and Projecting.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, it is planned to include additional candidates of sciences to participate in the free English language courses organized by the university.

MOBILITY OF TEACHING STAFF
In the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, from November 1 to November 30, at Pancasila University in Indonesia, Professor Gatut Luhur Budiono, a Doctor of Management, planned to conduct lectures for students in the educational programs 5B042100/6B02102 — "Design" and 6B01405/5B01405 — "Visual Arts and Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Design." He also gave lectures for the faculty on the topics "Scopus — How to Publish an Article" and "Strategy."
Additionally, from November 10 to November 30, Gatut Luhur Budiono held an international seminar at the department on the topic "The Advantages of Digital Technologies in the Development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises" (72 hours) and awarded certificates to the participants.
In the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, from February 13 to February 24, Professor Rakesh Bani from the University of Haryan Kuruchetra in India conducted offline lectures for students in the specialties 6B01405 — "Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Projecting" and 6B02102 — "Design." The classes covered the subject "Color Science" for 2.4 credits and included lectures and practical sessions according to an individual work plan.
He delivered a lecture on "The Art of Graphics and Its Artistic Possibilities" and conducted master classes titled "Visual Arts: Secrets of Techniques and Mastery."
From February 13 to February 24, Rakesh Bani also organized an international seminar at the department on the topic "Creative Thinking: Methods for Developing Students' Creative Abilities" (72 hours) and awarded certificates to the participants.
A round table discussion on "The Development of Contemporary Visual Arts" was organized for students and master's students in the specialties 6B01405-"Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics and Projecting." and 6B02102 - "Design.". Additionally, on February 21, Rakesh Bani held a personal creative exhibition at the K. Zhubanov University.
In the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, from November 6 to November 18, Professor Pavel Valentinovich Pichugin from the Department of Graphics and Sculpture at the A. I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University was invited to the Department of "Artistic Labor and Design."
The scholar conducted classes for students in the educational programs 5B042100 — "Design" and 5B01405 — "Visual Arts and Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Design" on the subjects "Composition II (Graphics)" and "Exterior and Interior Design." He also held presentations and consultations on the topics "Contemporary Art: Issues of Development, Exhibition, and Interpretation."
From November 6 to November 18, Pavel Valentinovich conducted an international seminar at the department titled "Formation of a Creative Personality in Graphic and Drawing Lessons" (72 hours) and awarded certificates to the participants. He delivered lectures on "The Art of Graphics and Its Artistic Possibilities" and "Color and Black-and-White Graphics: Techniques and Methods."
Consultations were also organized for master's students in the specialties 6B01405 — "Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Design" regarding their master's theses. Additionally, on February 21, Pavel Valentinovich Pichugin held a personal creative exhibition at K. Zhubanov University.
In the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, from March 4 to March 15, Professor Rakesh Bani from the Department of Visual Arts at Haryan Kuruchetra University in India was invited to the Department of "Artistic Labor and Design."
He conducted classes on the subject of "Branding" for students in the educational programs 6B02102/5B042100 — "Design" and 6B01405/5B01405 — "Visual Arts and Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Projecting." The professor also held presentations and consultations on "The Educational-Creative Approach in Training Artist-Teachers in the Context of the Development of Modern Art Culture."
From March 4 to March 15, Rakesh Bani also organized an international seminar (72 hours) on "Practical Recommendations for the Subject 'Drawing and Painting'" and awarded certificates to the participants. He delivered lectures on "The Art of Graphics and Its Artistic Possibilities" and conducted master classes on "Sketching," "Grattage," and "Graffiti."
Consultations were organized for master's students in the educational programs 6B01405 — "Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Projecting" and 6B02102 — "Design" regarding their master's theses. Extracurricular activities in painting and drawing included practical sessions.
Additionally, the university in Kuruchetra worked to facilitate agreements between universities to promote international cooperation and develop academic relations with regional and foreign partners, which will allow for the implementation of joint innovative programs.
In the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, from April 22 to May 5, Professor M. Zhaksygarina delivered lectures to students of this university in an offline format under a contract established between Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenov as part of mutual cooperation.
From October 7 to 18, 2024, during the 1st semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, the Department of “Fine Arts and Design” invited Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Klara Khakimovna Karamova from the Department of “Design and National Sciences” at Kazan Federal University (Russian Federation, Republic of Tatarstan) to deliver lectures and practical classes on the subject “Advertising and Marketing” for students of the 5B042100–“Design” educational program.
According to the approved schedule, from October 7 to 18, the scholar conducted an international seminar-practicum for the faculty and graduate students on the topic: “Problems in the process of studying compositional thinking in painting. The relationship in the context of ‘artist ↔ painting ↔ viewer’.” Master classes and extracurricular practicums were organized for students of the 6B01405–“Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Graphics, and Design” and 6B02102–“Design” programs on the following topics: “Meditative Zentangle Drawing,” “Unconscious Doodling during Class,” and “Overlapping, Partial Superimposition, Transformation, and Fragmentation of the Plane in Decorative Composition.”
Additionally, K. H. Karamova participated in a round table on the topic: “Problems and Tasks of the Educational and Creative Process in Training an Art Teacher in the Context of Modern Artistic Culture,” sharing her insights on the discussed issues. Consultations on master’s theses were also organized for graduate students of the 6B01405 and 6B02102 programs.
During the 2nd semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, from February 3 to 14, the Department of “Fine Arts and Design” invited Academician of the Petrov Academy of Science and Arts, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Kairtai Zhakupovich Amirgasin to deliver lectures and practical classes on the subject “Design of Objects” for 4th-year students of the 5B042100–“Design” educational program.
According to the approved schedule, the scholar conducted a seminar-practicum for the faculty and graduate students on the topic: “Formation and Development of Traditional Applied Arts.” Lectures and master classes were held for students of the 6B01405 and 6B02102 programs on the following topics: “Theoretical and Practical Significance of Kazakh Traditional Applied Arts,” “Artistic and Aesthetic Influence of Decorative and Applied Arts,” “The Role of Kazakh Traditional Applied Arts in Innovative Modernization,” and “Cultural Features of Kazakh Fine Arts,” along with extracurricular practicums in painting and drawing. Consultations on master’s theses were provided for graduate students of the 6B01405 program. Kairtai Zhakupovich Amirgasin also participated in a round table on the topic: “Development of Students’ Artistic and Creative Abilities” and shared his insights.
During the 2nd semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, from February 3 to 14, in accordance with the cooperation agreement with the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (Kyrgyz Republic), the Department of “Fine Arts and Design” invited Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of “Artistic Design of Products” Ainura Buudayykovna Dzholdosheva to deliver lectures and practical classes on the subject “Project Activity in Design” for 3rd-year students of the 5B042100–“Design” educational program.
According to the work plan, the scholar delivered lectures for students of the 6B01405 and 6B02102 programs on the topics: “The Essence and Types of a Project,” “Selection of a Topic and Project Stages,” practical classes on “Pre-Project Research, Project Objectives and Process,” and presentations and practicums on “Tradition and Modernity in Costume.” Fashion shows and exhibitions were organized jointly with students from Kyrgyz Technical University, and training sessions were conducted on the topic “SMART Method in Design Projects.” Additionally, the scholar shared teaching experience with the faculty, familiarized herself with the department’s educational process and research work, and expressed readiness to develop academic collaboration with KSTU and implement joint innovative programs and projects.
In the 1st semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, from November 10 to 21, the Department of “Fine Arts and Design,” in accordance with the cooperation agreement with Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction named after Mirzo Ulugbek (Uzbekistan), invited Professor of the Department of “Art,” PhD, Dilshoda Namazovna Sultanova to deliver lectures and practical classes on the subject “Production of Design Objects” for 5th-year students of the 5B042100–“Design” educational program.
According to the approved schedule, the scholar conducted classes for students of the 6B02102 program on the subject “Production of Design Objects,” a seminar-practicum for the faculty and graduate students on the topic: “Creative Thinking: Methods for Developing Students’ Creativity,” and shared teaching experience in various specialization areas. Master classes and extracurricular practicums were conducted for students of the 6B01405 and 6B02102 programs on the topics: “Visual Arts: Techniques and Secrets of Mastery” and “Graphic Arts and Its Artistic Possibilities.”
Consultations on master’s theses were also provided for graduate students of the 6B01405 program. Dilshoda Namazovna participated in a round table on the topic: “Development of Contemporary Painting” and shared her insights.
Furthermore, the scholar organized a personal exhibition, presenting her creative works to the faculty and students of the university.
STUDENT MOBILITY
In the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, under the international mobility program, 5 students expressed their desire to study at universities in Turkey, and a list was compiled and submitted to the academic mobility department. Of these, 2 students successfully passed the competition to enter a Turkish university and were issued invitations.
Under the internal mobility program, in the first semester, a second-year student of the educational program 6B01405 — "Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Projecting," Merei Utegenova, studied at KazNJP. In the second semester, a third-year student from Almaty Technological University is currently studying in the educational program 6B07207 — "Technology and Construction of Light Industry Products."
In the 2023-2024 academic year, 4 students participated in the international mobility program and studied at a foreign university.

There were 6 students enrolled in internal mobility.

FOREIGN SCHOLAR TEACHES STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT
To implement the program for attracting foreign scholars, during the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, from November 1 to November 30, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Gatut Luhur Budiono from Pancasila University (Indonesia) began delivering a course of lectures on the subject "Advertising and Marketing" for students of the Department of "Artistic Labor and Design" in an online format.

Zhubanov and Kazan Federal University (Russian Federation, Republic of Tatarstan), online lectures by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the partner department "Design and National Sciences," Klara Hakimovna Karamova will begin from April 12 to April 23 in the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. These lectures are intended for students of the educational programs 5B042100 — "Design" and 6B01405 — "Visual Arts, Artistic Labor, Graphics, and Projecting" at the Department of "Artistic Labor and Design" of the Faculty of Professional Creativity.
The main goal is to gain invaluable international experience in the scientific and educational fields, as well as teaching and communication in an international intercultural group. This initiative aims at developing and implementing joint educational programs that provide opportunities for obtaining diplomas from partner foreign universities.
Klara Hakimovna's research focuses on the development of creative abilities and self-realization of students in the training of future designer specialists.


In accordance with the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation between Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov and Kazan Federal University (Russian Federation, Republic of Tatarstan), online lectures by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of "Artistic Labor and Design" of the Faculty of Professional Creativity began from April 12 to April 23 in the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. These lectures are intended for students of the educational program 54.04.01 — "Design" at the partner foreign department "Design and National Sciences" of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication at KFU.
The main goal is to gain experience in teaching and communication within an international intercultural group, as well as to develop and implement joint educational programs aimed at providing opportunities for obtaining diplomas from partner foreign universities, thereby enhancing international experience in the scientific and educational fields.

Rakesh Bani is actively involved in organizing various events aimed at developing students' creative abilities and sharing experiences.
