Center for Health and Well-being
In the 2021–2022 academic year, the Center for Health and Well-being was established at K. Zhubanov ARU to provide psychological support to students and faculty.
The Center's goal is to preserve the mental health of students, faculty, and staff, and to create a social-psychological environment that is conducive to education and work. It supports personal and intellectual development, and provides psychological assistance in challenging life situations.
The Center's specialists follow a psychoanalytic approach to psychotherapy. Every student at Zhubanov University is entitled to 10 free therapy sessions, while faculty and staff are eligible for 5 free sessions. The Center strictly adheres to international ethical standards for psychologists, with confidentiality being one of the most important principles. The university prioritizes care and trust, ensuring the privacy of all individuals seeking psychological help.
The center employs 6 psychological professionals who practice in accordance with international ethical standards that include personal therapy and regular supervision. This is an important factor for professionals so that they can prevent emotional collapse and help their client properly.
Weekly psychological training sessions are conducted across all faculties. Students have access to both group and individual formats. In addition, Center specialists work weekly in student dormitories, offering relevant training sessions, individual consultations, and mentoring.
Faculty and staff also benefit from seminars and workshops aimed at supporting psychological health and well-being.
The Center actively promotes mental health awareness through educational events for students and staff, such as participation in the international campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” and Mental Health Awareness Week.
Since 2023, the university has been hosting an annual Republican Forum titled "A Healthy Generation is the Wealth of the Nation," focusing on the mental and emotional well-being of youth.
In October 2023, the Center launched the student psychological club "Mental Health". The club operates on the peer-to-peer support model, encouraging students to help one another through shared experiences.
The Center for Health and Well-being is a place where you can feel safe and begin your journey toward becoming your stronger, calmer, and truest self.
