The League of Academic Integrity is an association of higher and postgraduate education institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its mission is to improve and enhance the quality of education in the country by promoting and implementing the ten fundamental principles of academic integrity.

The League Council is responsible for developing academic integrity standards. Currently, the Council has developed standards for assessing students’ learning outcomes; evaluating journals recommended by the League for publishing research findings based on the League’s general criteria; monitoring and screening higher education institutions; and organizing the educational process based on credit-based learning technology.

K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University has actively cooperated with the League of Academic Integrity since 2022, incorporating its principles into the University’s educational system. The University’s academic integrity policy includes measures to prevent plagiarism and cheating, the use of text-similarity detection systems, and training students to follow ethical principles in their studies.

The Chair of the League of Academic Integrity is elected annually by the League Council. Recognized for its strong commitment to promoting academic integrity, K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University was elected Chair of the League of Academic Integrity for the 2024–2025 academic year. This was a significant milestone for the University, as chairing the League demonstrates its adherence to high ethical standards and the principles of responsibility in education and research.

K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University’s chairmanship of the Academic Integrity League highlights its commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering a culture of academic integrity. It enables the University to strengthen its position at the national level and serve as an example for other educational institutions, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of education quality in Kazakhstan.
