Along with their teaching activities, the department's faculty actively participates in the social life of the university, city, and region, which has resulted in significant success.

The following award recipients have been awarded:

The department's educational programs are annually included in the rankings of universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and occupy leading positions, which indicates the high demand for graduates. Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs' Ranking Results:

Student Participation and Achievements in Subject Olympiads and Competitions.

For many years, student teams from the department's educational programs have been participating in the Republican Subject Olympiads in Russian Language and Literature.

  • 2022 - 1st place as a team in the Republican Subject Student Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Almaty. Based on the results of the creative competition, the team from educational program 6B01702 - "Russian Language and Literature" took 3rd place.
  • 2024 - 3rd place as a team in the Republican Subject Student Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature, VKU named after S. Amanzholova, Ust-Kamenogorsk. The team took second place in the creative competition.
  • 2025 – third place in the creative competition at the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature, West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov, Uralsk.
  • 2026 – Anatoly Matyakubov – third place in the individual competition at the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature, ENU named after N. Gumilyov, Astana.
  • 2026 – third place in the creative competition at the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature, ENU named after N. Gumilyov, Astana.

Under the supervision of the department's faculty, undergraduate and graduate students regularly participate in research project competitions and scientific conferences and win prizes.

One significant achievement is the prize-winning placements of undergraduate and graduate students in the National Student Research Paper Competition. In recent years alone, students from the department's educational programs have participated in and won prizes in Olympiads and scientific conferences held outside the Republic of Kazakhstan:

  • The 3rd International Online Olympiad of St. Petersburg State University in Russian as a Foreign Language (St. Petersburg, 2024);
  • The International Student Scientific and Practical Conference "The Russian Language in the Modern World: Problems and Prospects" and the Ninth Moses Readings (Orenburg, Russian Federation, 2024);
  • The 14th International Pushkin Competition "What's in my name for you?" (Moscow, Russian Federation, 2024);
  • IX Youth Olympiad in Russian Language and Teaching Methods (Izhevsk, Russian Federation, 2024).
  • Due to the expansion of Zhubanov University's international relations and the increasing number of international students studying at the university, faculty members also specialize in teaching Russian as a foreign language. For many years, students from the PeEPle's Republic of China have been studying at the Faculty of Philology.
