CENTER FOR ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH EXCELLENCE

The Center for Academic and Research Excellence (CAIRE) was established to strengthen the University’s research capacity, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the development of innovative scientific solutions addressing contemporary global and regional challenges.

The Center serves as a platform for advancing research competencies, fostering academic excellence, and enhancing the quality of scientific output. Its activities focus on supporting priority research areas, facilitating the implementation of innovative technologies, and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

Currently, the Center brings together a multidisciplinary research team of 53 scientists, including experienced researchers, young scholars, and doctoral candidates.

The Center also contributes to human capital development through the training of more than 10 PhD students, supporting the formation of the next generation of researchers.

CONTRIBUTION TO CLIMATE ACTION THROUGH ECOLOGY EDUCATION

The University has long-standing experience in implementing Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Ecology. These programmes play an important role in preparing qualified environmental specialists capable of addressing climate change challenges and promoting sustainable environmental management.

Through the continuous training of ecologists, the University contributes to strengthening regional capacity in climate change mitigation and adaptation. Students acquire practical skills in environmental monitoring, climate risk assessment, environmental impact evaluation, and the development of sustainable solutions for the protection of natural ecosystems and natural resources.

The University has adopted a Climate Action Policy aimed at reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices. The policy supports energy efficiency, responsible resource use, environmental awareness, and the integration of climate-related topics into education and research activities.
